A bit of help with running a PC through a LCDTV.

I have my PC connected to my LCDTV via a HDMI cable. I have the res set to 1920x1080 and am using the feature within Windows to make everything larger by 175%.

I can not use a lower res as I watch HD videos / play games on my PC. A couple of games do not display right whilst using this feature (Crysis&Doom3.)

Is there anything I can put into the launch options/config file to make the games realise I am using this feature. All other games seem to manage it but not these two.

When you say "make everything larger", do you simply mean that you have upped the font scaling? If so, that should only affect fonts. If not, them I'm afraid I'm not sure what you mean!

In W7, I right click on desktop, select screen res, there is an a option called "make text and other items larger and smaller" from there you can edit "custom text size DPI"

This makes things readable from 6ft distance whilst still allows me to run videos/games in 1080p.

I found a solution for this. For games that display incorrectly due to high DPI scaling, you need to find the games exe, right click on it and select the compatibility tab, in there is a option to ignore dpi scaling.

Once you have ticked this box the game will run as normal.
