hi everyone

this is my first rig/attempt @ ocing and i'd like some help.

How can I oc the CPU for it to remain stable whilst still keeping the ram at high speeds? Specs are in sig.

Default it's 333fsb 9 multiplier and as of yet I haven't worked out how to change my dram ration (if that's the name) from the default 1 : 2.

CPU idles @ 32' with a default vcore of ~1.12, so could I have some recommendations please from some ocing veterans.

If anyone can tell me how to change the FSB:DRAM ratio from 1: 2 to 1 : 1 then I could drop the multi to 6 and up the fsb to 600? Or will the FSB not go that high?

thanks.

Very doubtful that you'll get the FSB to 600mhz. That's more like the high end of what the new P45 boards are obtaining. Well over 500mhz should be possible tho, depending on how good your motherboard and its cooling is.

As for the RAM ratio, the FSB Strap To Northbridge and DRAM Frequency are the two options you'll need to play with.

you should get somewhere close to 525mhz with that board.. guide in my sig should cover the basics of the BIOS and what does what.. although the clocking parts are for a Q6600 so you will need to adjust vcore etc.. based on the E8400
