A bit of reassurance please...

Hi guys,

I have studied the forums for a while and armed with this knowledge, I pre ordered my E6600 Conroe and a nice new Enermax liberty 620, I will be getting the what seems to be recommended G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400. I will chosse a motherboard at the end of the month once I have seen the reviews. Now for the question, at the moment I have a old pentium 4 2.8, now I know the Conroe works at 2.4 stock but it is a lot more efficient, so the first question is will the be a big difference between the two?

and the next question is I have just told a friend of mine who seems to really know what he is talking about that I have gone for the E6600 Conroe instead of the 4400 xmd x2, he seems to think this was a stupid thing to do and that there is no real difference between the two. So now my excitement has been some what flattened, so the second question is he right? sorry for being a bit stupid about these things, but hey im trying to learn as much as I can.

Ok now I have gone from feeling better to " I can wait, please Ocuk send me it now!" On a slightly related link, the only components im unsure on is mlb, which I will wait for reviews on at the end of the month and cooler, any suggestions for a cooler, I would really like a air cooler, not much confidence in my own ability with water cooling. Thanks guys.
