A blessing?

I’ve been following gpu developments with great interest having been an avid pc enthusiast since first playing doom on pc on a 486
Everyone is understandably frustrated at not being able to get one of these new nvidia Gpu’s and I understand that frustration, I myself have a preorder that is some way off arriving with no delivery in sight.
But the longer the time drags on, the closer AMD’s big Navi is to arriving and the better it is looking in honesty.
I would look at this nvidia launch nightmare as a possible blessing for all of us because if AMD pull an “intel” on nvidia and release a card that is nearly as good or perhaps better than ampere - using much less power and at a better price.....I wonder how many of these nvidia pre orders will cancel and go for an AMD card?
With that choice being there as a direct result of the nvidia stock debacle
This Nvidia stock delay is actually lending itself to all of us getting that choice
Just a thought - this order delay may actually turn out to be a blessing for all of us.....

Agree fully as I’ve always bought nvidia though my first gpu was a diamond stealth 2mb, coupled with a voodoo 2 add on card - those were the days...
But then again I’ve always bought intel as well and look what AMD has done to them, the same thing could happen here to Nvidia.....
My point is this delay could be doing us a favour if big Navi turns out to be something really great and we will know that shortly

I do think AMD will be only too aware of their drivers issues and they will therefore understood the need to focus on that.
Let’s hope so because if AMD do release a big navi that is really good it can only be good for all of us
