Hi

Looking at a new Computer, I already own a Asus ENGT 240 Graphics Card a 500gb Hard drive and Win 7.

i am looking at the following so far

AMD Athlon ll x4 640
Corsair 400W CX
Asus M4A78LT-M 760G
Coolermaster Elite 430

Any reccomendations, main uses are Film and tv watching, Web work with Visual studio, good multitasking etc

That ram looks great.

A few people have been mentioning the new tech that is out soon, am i right in thinking that at my budget point the amd would be ideal.

the ram is great i have a set arriving this week for my amd set up :p

and yes, with a small budget like yours AMD will always be more popular than Intel.

Right, final spec will be

Athlon ll x4 640
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9)
LiteOn IHAS124 - DVD±RW (±R DL) / DVD-RAM drive - Serial ATA
Asus M4A78LT-M 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard
Coolermaster Elite 430 Windowed Case - Black

Total £255

Add to that

Asus ENGT 240 1gb graphics card
Corsair CMPSU-400CXUK 400W Power Supply
Seagate 500gb HD
Windows 7

Completed the build, changed to a Phenom ll x2 560 BE

Thought i would take the gamble, and try the unlock

Gamble paid off now running Phenom ll x4 B60 at 3.3GHz

Very happy for the money i have spent.

Thanks again
