Just over a year ago I got hold of a seagate freeagent, for a while now this thing has been a royal pain in the a**e ;) The only reason I have perceviered with it this long is that it holds a load of files that I don't have space for elsewhere. The problem with this drive is pretty much really poor design of the case and the interface which causes the base of the unit to reach scorching temperatures causing i/o errors after 5-10minutes of use. Anyway I've decided to try and get the hdd, which as far as I can tell is a pretty solid drive [just in a crap case] out and stick it in a new caddie. I'm guessing its a 7900.9/10 sata hdd. What I would like is a recommendation for a good, solid and reliable caddie that isn't going to overheat and cause me a tonne of grief. It would be preferable to have a esata output as well as the standard USB2. Any suggestions?

Second thing I'm also looking for a new scanner, my only experience is with a epson scanner which was part of an all-in-one unfortunately the printer gave in so I'm looking for a seperate scanner now. It will mainly be used for scanning colour documents and photos/pictures from magazines, etc.

Any advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated =D
