Hi people,
I wanna make a CD with all the programs I will need if I ever need to reinstall. Has anyone else done this?

What programs should I have on?

Norton, Spyware S&D, Graphic card drivers, Sound drivers.....................

You could allways set up your PC the way you want it , then clone [ghost] the hard drive to disk or whatever . I made up a disk using a program many years ago with all the programs I use in catagorys ,[graphics/utillities/security. etc] The program enabled you to make a splash screen and menu page with catagorys and even buttons . I just inserted the disk which automatically loaded , I browsed through the catagorys to choose a application and clicked an install button.[the program linked the button to the .exe file] It's good any dead easy to use.I think it was called SDK or something like that , I have it but have not used it for years. The company also made an update so it could be used on a XP PC.

Yes, Nlited my XP cd and added SP2 and the SATA drivers (as well as automated the install so I can pop the disk in, have my tea and its done by the time I return)
Drivers wise I added my Nforce drivers as otherwise the built in NIC doesnt work and download everything else off my 0.5 TB of NAS storage including my mail files and favourites which are backed up twice a day...really simplifies things.

Software on there for standard install:
Nero 7
MS Office
FFDShow
AC3Codec
Sonicstage
Firefox
AVG
Spybot S&D
MP3 Tag and Rename
Backup Software (cant remeber who makes it now)
AutoGK

Dont really bother with much else other than Windows Updates until I really need it, and with broadband its not worth the effort doing anymore IMO.
