ok ive already specced it a few times, but i jus want to see what you guys come up with and compare them to get the best.

I need the best possible performance from 200 quid.

-It is likley that it will be overclocked a lot.
-Crossfire support would be helpfull so another ati card can be added at a later date. or SLi but thats a little expensive, or is it?
-Obviously an ATI graphics card, depending on the above..
-do not really mind how it looks, jus needs to perform the best it possibly can.

target - good frame rates on some older games. eg Call Of Duty 1.

any suggestions?

cheers in advance for any feedback.;)

What parts does that cost cover? A complete rig from top to bottom?

If so you'd be better off buying second hand. I could get a barebones-based rig for that amount, but it wouldn't overclock worth a damn.

EDIT: In my book a complete rig is
CPU
Mobo
RAM
Graphics card
HDD
ODD
Case
Power supply

parts needed are:

-motherboard
-CPU
-hard drive (doesnt need to be anything big)
-graphics card
-power supply
-RAM

so yes, pretty much a complete rig.

Im planning to buy from overclockers.

this is what i came up with..

Motherboard - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-003-OK

CPU - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-152-IN

Hard drive - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-000-WD

Graphics card - Mabye a 7 series card... not sure

Power supply - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-088-AN

RAM - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-111-CS

Anything easily improved with simular price?
totally different spec, better performance?

cheers in advance..;)

This is a fair bit over the budget but £200 is simply not realistic for a system that will be used for gaming and overclocking. The graphics card is still pretty poor overall but should be enough for what you want.

It's not overclockable, it's way over budget, but it does have a much better graphics card.

But within budget ;)
