Okay, I thought this could be interesting.
The challenge is to come up with the perfect budget system. Something that can be overclocked, runs cool and has the ability to run pretty much any game with all the bells and whistles turned on, while being able to encode\transcode at reasonable speeds.
Obviously, I could just run to the hardware section and throw in the most expensive component from each section and tada! A capable system, But that system fails with regards to cost.
I could also go out there and throw in all the cheapest components, and build a system that would fall short, but cost not very much!
I thought this would be a nice place for people to spend some time coming up with max performance for the cheapest cost they can.
I thought this could be an interesting thread, with debate over more than just processor brands, and graphics card brands. We could see a back and forth with regards to motherboard features, and the inclusion or exclusion of sound\network cards.
This could also be an interesting thread for people to look through if they want to buy a system. With different price brackets, and hardware combinations. Bonus points to people who are able to include not needed, but definate bonus features, while keeping prices down (SSD, alternative cooling, SLI, 3D)
