Hey Guys,
Well i was recommended this website by a work colleague who said someone would be able to help me build a custom PC, never done it before so what im looking for is a PC that is capable of playing my steam list which includes the likes of Batman A:C, Arma II, Bulletstorm, Fallout L.V & Boarderlands.

Also want to be able to try and play games like Skyrim, Max Payne 3 etc all on a medium (AT LEAST) setting (If its possible).

My Budget: (Heres the fun part) - £400-500.
This has gotta included EVERYTHING. Case, Graphics card, Drives & everything else! Also if possible a link to the cables i might also need.

Thanks,
Jordan

EDIT: Looking at money i can now change my Budget to anywhere between £500-£600. Id like it to possibly include a OS, dont need peripherals or monitors!

Thanks again!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

The forum rules prevent anyone from pointing you towards products other than at OcUK.

Please remove most of the last line of your post as the mentioning of auction sites isn't allowed.

Sorry to start with a lesson on the rules but I suggest you have a read of the FAQ before posting further.

Hey guys sorry im at work so trying to reply when i can, id say overlooking it i can push my budget up between £500-600! if i can get a operating system with it great if not then i can by one and monitor ill use my 42" TV and i dont need peripherals :).. Ill also updated my main post too.

Leeroy a couple of quid over isnt that bad, as close to as possible it doesnt matter, just prelong buying it a couple of weeks so not too bad! love the case, and just a question whats the main difference between the Intel systems and the AMD's?

At the moment the intel chips are well ahead, but im sure surveyor can tell you more. That i5 2500k ive put down is a quality gaming chip, and it can be overclocked if you get a cooler later on down the line. Maybe also think about adding a Solid state drive too at at a later date, adds a massive boost to system performance. Id wait for other people views first, im sure the price can be brought down :)

I don't see anything wrong with Leeroy123 build but I have a little niggle^^

Rather than a i5 2500K I would recommend getting a i5 3570K. It's only a little more but it's newer, offers small extra features over the 2500K but it also is 10% faster per clock.

I would also personally get the Sapphire 7850 graphics card over the GTX 480. It's pretty low powered, dual fan, 2GB GDDR5 RAM, easy to overclock (and is a beast at it) should you ever wish too. It's only slightly more.

Smoogles would that be this one - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-295-SP, also i might just take a look and see. Also one thing i have a problem with at the moment i use a gaming Laptop (4 years old) with a VGA output to my TV which is also connected to VGA. Do you think if i got a DVI-VGA converter id lose quality? if so then ill get a HDMI splitter for the TV if i dont have two slots already.

Thanks for that BigChief, Does look really good! i might just upgrade the Inter Core i3 to the i5 Bacon put down but other then that it does look really good thanks! take that into consideration!

Yeah smoogles your right that chip is newer and isnt much more, I was just trying to keep the price down slightly hehe. And i know nothing about Amd cards so i never have a clue whats good and whats not on that end, always stuck with Nvidia. Whatever you choose Jwhitbley im sure it will be well worth it mate.
