Yeah its what seems most appealing at the moment, I appreciate going straight for an i7 would save me money but I'm impatient and want more now lol

It might cost me more in the long run but upgrading in steps is probably the best for me at moment; G640 -> i5 -> i7.

But I will have a look and see how much i7's go for.
 
I'd certainly be going for as much bang as my buck will get me - keeping an eye on a couple over next few days and will see how much they go for - on a particular online auction site!
