A couple of firsts for me in the kitchen.

Made a couple of things this afternoon I've never made before.

First off, I made my own pasta (I did make some last week but it was rubbish). Bought myself a pasta machine and made me some today. I had some with a creamy seafood sauce I made and hung the rest to dry for a bit before freezing it.

Also made butter for the first time. Was a lot easier than I thought.

Tastes fine. Pretty much the same as shop bought but the "I made that" factor makes it so much better

I eat so much pasta.... I really should get a pasta machine, which one did you buy and ££?

I just use a massive 2ft rolling pin, theres a level of skill involved in hand rolling and cutting but it makes equally as good pasta.

People are sometimes shocked to walk in my kitchen and see not washing on the clothes horse, but strands of linguine.

It is fantastic getting it that fresh though, even the stuff delis and supermarkets sell don't have a shade on home made, fresh as you like pasta.
