I'm going to get Zen in a couple of weeks but I figured with OCUK being hella low on Memory stocks recently I should pick some up before it's released.
But just wanted to find some things out.
Is there any "NOTICEABLE" difference between getting say 3000mhz memory with lower timings over getting 4000mhz with higher timings?
Looking at the higher end sticks liked the Geil and Team Group
Say take the Geil 2x4Gb @4000Mhz with 19-25-25-45 timings
or the Team Group 2x4Gb @3866Mhz with 18-20-20-40 timings
Do the lower timings make up for the 150mhz? or does the higher Mhz offset the higher timings.
Or am I completely over thinking this?
Basically i'm looking at getting some stupidly fast memory I was thinking of just get 8gb then replacing it when the prices drop to more affordable levels.
I would rather save £80 and put it towards a 1700x over the 1700 for example.
Just not too sure what I would be better off getting.
I mainly play games if that helps.
