Am I correct in thinking that the x2 3800+ and the x2 4200+ are the same chip but with different multipliers?

Also, anyone know if it's likely that you could run a x2 3800+ at 2.4GHz on stock voltage?

Yes the X2 3800+ is 2ghz and has a 10x multi. The X2 4200+ is 2.2ghz and has a 11x multi.

I think you will be able to get a X2 3800+ to 2.4ghz on stock voltage.
I have one and can get it to 2.55ghz on stock voltage. :)
