ive just finished installing the tuniq tower in my system, and am not sure about the 2 cables going to the fan. First off, would it be best plugging the 3 pin cable into my motherboard (maximus formula) even though the motherboard has 4 pins. or should i plug the 3 pin cable into my kama fan controller, will there be problems if the motherboard fan connector is empty? also, what is the 2 pin cable for? the instructions dont say.

Also, i was connecting my PSU to my motherboard and noticed the 24pin power cable is fine, but im unsure about the other one, my PSU is modular but has 3 cables permenant, 24pin, 8pin and 4 pin, ive got the 24 connected but unsure which of the other cables to use, the 8 pin slot on my motherboard had the top 4 pins covered, so should i use the 4 pin cable? or should i remove the little cover and use the 8 pin cable?

IIRC The TT has a connector for the power and one for the fan controller at the back (that it comes with). I believe you can either take the power from the motherboard or a spare molex connector. If you don't get any more helpful replies by this evening I will check on mine at home.

In the BIOS settings you will usually find options for an alarm or auto off if the system detects that there is no fan in the CPU fan connector. This is easily disabled if you want it powered from elsewhere.

PK!

i just checked the speed thing that comes with the TT, and it connects to the 2 pin cable. So if i dont want to use this, and i want to use my kama-meter, i simply connect the 3 pin cables to that and leave this 2 pin one not connected to anything?

If any1 knows about the 8pin/4pin motherboard power thing i also mentioned i would be very gratefull if i can get a quick response, as i am building my rig right now and would like to hopefully finish getting it built before loosing too much light.

Edit: After doing a bit of searching online i think i found out about the 8pin/4pin thing, and that it can work with just the 4 pin, but with cover that blocks 4 pins removed, and using an 8 pin cable, it gets a better/more stable supply of 12v power. Would be nice if someone can confirm this please.

I also have a question about the supremeFX II 8 sound card with the maximus formula. with my kama meter i can control the sound, but to do this i need to conect a audio wire to part of it, the problem is, im not sure which socket on the card to use, since i think its a surround sound card, but i only want a single audio cable comming out of it, as thats all the kama meter takes (and also, my hifi is set up only to take a single wire input as it doesnt do surround sound, just stereo sound).
