Hey guys i got this case http://www.custompc.co.uk/reviews/129281/a-cs-188af.html and when system is starting the side 25cm fan makes like a "banging" noise while in low rpm so just wondering if this is normal for fan of this size? Once running at higher speed all u can hear is just a normal fan like sound.
As you can see i got AC 7pro and there's a user review that mentioned he couldn't fit his AC 7pro cos of this 25cm fan dipping into the case. Well my is inside so i'm wondering if its not the blades hitting the top of cooler but from what i can see thru side it should be far enough. If thats the case though i should really swap my cooler for something smaller as this can't be good for blades.

I did install my AC 7 other way round (maybe thats why i fit it:confused:), the cable was just long enuff to allow me that, to blow air towards the front and also have my back fan as intake. There's less than an inch betwen those 2. :) It seems to work pretty well, i dont remember seeing my mobo temp over 24 and cpu under orthos with my oc gets to higher 60s tho most of the time is round 60, cores r betwen 52-59 under load. I think this are ok temps considering that i had to put 1.475V to keep it stable.

So what you guys think, is the fan hitting top of ac 7? If so what cooler should i pick up thats smaller but with comparable or superior performance?

English isn't my native language so sorry for any mistakes. ;)

if it's a large fan built in the traditional way that other fans are, if the blades are pushing air into the case then the fan could be unbalanced and knocking on its own casing, or the knocking you hear could be the motor trying to push the large fan around.

as for the cooler temp, yes you will get cooler cpu temps if it's sourcing air straight from an intake, however this means that too much air is being pushed into the case and the PSU is the only extraction. It's best to try and balance the airflow but I don't know how to do that with a large fan strapped to the side.

Thanks, i thought it was just being unbalanced or maybe poorly built. :( Its a shame cos when i'm just surfing or watching something i dont need it at 50%+ speed as anything less it will start knocking which is obviously louder than it running faster. Without it on the system is almost silent.
I wanted to try to have it traditional way but i'm bit worried that if installed like that i wouldn't be able to close the case as that reviewer and don't wanna use stock cooler on it.

Any sugestion for smaller size cooler or should i post in cooling section?

Cheers.
