A daft question on refresh rates

Hi folks,

So I just bought myself a 7rd leopard laptop and my only issue so far is that I cannot for the life of me workout how to remove the 60hz cap. Now the monitor / card should reach 120hz. However on the display settings, it only shows the on-board card, not the 1050, so I cannot select other refresh modes. The 1050 only seems to kick in while gaming, which is fine - I just don't know how to access the refresh rate in any other way? I see it on the physx screen, but I see no way of adjusting it?

Hmm, maybe you need an INF file for your laptop's display? It says you have "Generic PnP monitor" in your screen shot which is probably the limiting factor. Check the mfr's website to see.

I've also seen software called Intel Graphics HD Control Panel which might set the refresh in Windows.

Thanks buddy! I've opened that software, but 60hz is the limit the onboard card runs to, so it wont extend past that. I'm really surprised MSI are able to claim so readily that the laptop is 120hz ready, but I wonder how many have actually been able to use that.
