Hey all.
I generally don't care for debadging cars, however the TDCi badge on my Focus has gotten white worm, looking tacky on an otherwise well presented car.
I doubt I can be bothered replacing it, but I would like to remove it.
What is the easiest way? I think it is just stuck on rather than using locating pins. A Google search suggests boiling water then pull it off?

debadging never looks good.

use fishing line to cut behind it if you really must remove it. might need a hair dryer to soften the glue.

It comes off very easily. I removed the residue with some soapy water then t cutted it as the letters were embedded onto the paint in a shadow sort of way, visible at certain angles. T cutting sorted it.

I did this to my mondeo with the same style badges as yours. Go for it.

P.S. I just picked the letters off with my fingers, they're very flimsy.

Slide an old credit card behind it to prise it off....or use one of the other methods. It will come off pretty easily, have debadged a couple of fords from that era!

The badge itself will lift with your fingernail, its the foam adhesive that needs more work. Don't scrub or scrape, use petrol, white spirit, or tar and glue remover to soften the remaining adhesive and remove gently. The badge will invariably leave a slight footprint in the lacquer, so a mild cutting polish to remove this.
