A decent torrent client?

I've been using uTorrent for a while now and v3 has fallen for the same mistake that Azeurus did when it became Vuze (and lost me as a user to it's competitor, uTorrent), it is trying to be all things for all men rather than just concentrating on being a torrent client.

So, in order to keep my BBC radio archive active I'm on the lookout for a powerful torrent client that can handle 500+ items without being a resource hog.

Any suggestions?

Just go back to the previous version. I'm on 2.2.1 and it's fine, didn't even realise there was a v3!

I never found anything better than uTorrent. As TheVoice said, why not go back to a version you still liked? Or go to Usenet

As above, earlier versions of utorrent are great. I just disabled auto update and reinstalled the older version.

V3 working perfectly well for me. Small and discrete as ever, tucked away in the corner of my screen. If anything it works better than every version i've had up until now.

I'm loving the Remote function too. Easy to set up and now i'm controlling my desktop client from the Android app. Best feature? Using the app from work to initiate a download at home so that it's done when i return.

v3 is fine. It's easy to hide/disable the new features.
