As I'm sure you're all aware, things aren't too rosy in the City right now. Job cuts everywhere and bonuses through the floor.

Disappointingly I have been totally let down by my boss and the latter problem has manifested itself in a very real way. As well as my being at home on a Saturday night, I've had to cancel my 458 Spider order.

So, here's where you, the Internet, can help.

Do I admit defeat, learn to live with the jeers and laughs of my colleagues in the car park at work for driving the old model and buy a 430 Spider instead, or do I go left-field and get something like a Superleggera before they're all exported to Asia?

Or do I just get a job with a company who pay their employees what they're worth?

Opinions, comments, stories from friends etc welcomed.

TBH if I was you I would just end it now and jump off the nearest tall object, either retarted trolling or the shame of owning anything but a 458 is a punishment worse than death.

I feel a custard/Hovis moment might happen here, making the OcUK lot look like fools.

IT IS A SET UP I TELL YOU!

I thought the smart money in the city nowadays was in buying classic supercars rather than modern stuff?

What do you drive at the moment?

Feel free to put your money there if you want, I shan't be.

Classic car values are a bubble, as they were in the late 80s and look what happened then. Not to mention the tiny downside that you can't actually use them if you want them to maintain their theoretical value, so what's the point?

Better to take a risk with a potential profit than to face definite depreciation from a new car. I've no idea how much of a depreciation, if any, there is with modern stuff though. But if I had done spare cash then yes I would put it into a classic. Even if it lost money I would have immense pleasure in just owning it and driving it on special occasions.
