A dual screen setup

I already have two monitors but I need to know which second display cable I should get. I am using a HDMI cable for my first monitor, but my GPU only takes 1 HDMI. So my question is, what second cable should I get, bearing in mind that the second monitor can take HDMI and DVI cables. Currently I am looking at a HDMI to DVI cable, but should I get the DVI D or DVI I version, or doesn't it matter, thanks

Dvd-i or dvd-d would depend on your monitor and or gpu, what size is it and what resolution are you using on it. What type of dvi is the connection on the graphics card D or I?

The monitor has a DVI D and so does the GPU. So from this should I get a HDMI (from the monitor) to a DVI on the GPU? Thanks

The monitor has divi and so does the gpu? Just go divi unless you need the sound from hdmi
