my teacher friend is about to leave a school and she has a dell work laptop, she asked to buy this due to the data and programs installed, they said they would consider this and she needs to make an offer, what do you think a fair price is for this spec?

£400-500 would get you similar spec on some of the popular second hand sites. Some are as low as £300 but many are scammers trying to part a fool and his money ;)

Didn't notice that 3yr warranty, is it next business day?

If I were selling it I wouldn't accept £300 but suppose it depends how clued up the IT manager is and how much cash they hope to recover.

Don't think you'd get a new m1330 on offer for much below £475. I'd say go as high as £400, would be silly to miss out on a nice (familiar) little machine for the sake of £50 (especially considering the warranty).
