My original problem was in this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17616181
I ordered a new motherboard in hoping it would fix the problem and I would say yes it pretty much has. No crashes in three days, can play games fine
.
However when I turn the pc on when I wake up (PC stays on during the day so no idea if the same problem could happen) - no POST, no display
. After pressing the reset button a few times all starts up as normal and everything is fine. On one occasion though I did get a 'CMOS checksum error' when this problem first happened but not since then has it happened. Problem has happened three mornings now since I got the mobo on wednesday - so thurs fri and today (sat).
Was I unlucky enough to get a new dodgy board?
I am wondering if I had a dodgy PSU and mobo and replacing the mobo has made my situation better. In the bios voltages are (+3v) - +3.34, (+5v) - +5.08, and the (+12v) - +12.09v. Asus PC probe reports same voltages too.
However PC Wizard 2006 displays the +12v line as 11.55v, before I replaced my mobo PC Wizard was reporting it as 11.35v and PC probe and bios were reporting it as 11.96v.
