a favour to ask / compare photo's

Hi,

I took both of these pictures with a 50mm 1.8 lens, different camera's and different lenses. which of the two examples below do you think are the better? Both will have my photography flaws in them

I would reject the second one because of the sucking thumb....

So No.1 is better.

lol thanks was looking so much at the content but the quality of both....trying to decide which camera setup to keep.

number 1 looks sharper to me, number 2 is a little on the soft side?

Then posting two completely different pics is no way to find that out.

If you want to do a technical comparison get the cameras on a tripod and shoot the same subjects in the same light, time for some dull still life and test charts.

If you want to just pick a camera that suits you go out with one and take some pictures of what ever takes your fancy then do the same with the other. Pic the camera you enjoyed using most and produced the results you liked the most.

Chasing perfect sharpness, dynamic range etc etc will lead to you waisting a lot of time that could have been spent enjoying photography being wasted comparing almost identical 100% crops.
