Luis Boa Morte of Fulham has conceded 25 fouls this season in 700 minutes on the pitch, making it one foul every 28 minutes. Gary Flitcroft is second at 28.4 minutes and Alan Smith third, conceding a free-kick every 29.2 minutes.

(Many of Flitcroft's bookings came in one match against Middlesbrough on August 31, when he committed eight fouls - six, with two handballs - and still escaped action from referee Mark Halsey. No player has conceded more fouls in a match this season. So while he can claim to be unlucky to receive his red card at Highbury last week, he has had some leniency on other days.)

I wonder how different that would be if Keane & Vieira were both playing atm.

But look at how many times Smith is fouled as well, it's a two way thing with him - I would bet he wins more than he gives away when he's playing up front.

here ya go comparing Smith Keane and vieira makes for intresting reading.

Shows that are all dirty gits :D

and if I read it correctly that Keane only became a dirty git after joining the mancs :p

yep cpuldnt agree more but what a pace Smith is setting for Yellow and red cards

by the time he is keanes age on currnt form he should have somehting like 250 YC and about 30 RC

LOL

erm but gilly

if you look at them again you will find that Smithy boy has had almost as many YC and half the RC of Keane eventhough he has played in 200 matches less (not counting the time Keane spent at Notts FOrest.)

And how can you call MUFC dirty other than the odd dummy throwing by keane we probably have one of the best disciplinary records in the PM

It's pretty meaningless to compare when you consider that Yellow/Red cards are given out much more freely these days than they were when Keane was at Forest and in his early days at Utd.

Right, but look at before he joined

He didn't even get carded! All of a sudden he joins manyoo and has one of the worst records in the league!

yeah but look at smith before he joins leeds

never carded until he joins them and now is rapidly becoming the dirtiest player in the league

I'm sure even you can work out why he wasn't carded before joining Leeds, and I'd like you to take Kaiowas' post into consideration too.

yes im sure i can and stop the personal insults gilly just because you cant stand to have any player on the leeds side bashed ever.

Yes it is a good point by kaiowas.

anohter point to take in is referee discrimination against smith and keane simply becasue of who they are. I dont honestly think either of them are dirty but they both suffer from a very short temeper span in certain situations and they both react to them.

Keane has done a few things he should fully regret and so has Smith I just hope he cleans up his act otherwise Smith may not be around come Keanes age.
