Great show, didnt think they would get to fly due to the wind conditions. In the end it died down! Processed a few of the shots tonight, still got another 50 ish to go, so here goes, enjoy. C&C welcome.

NOTE TO JUDGES, PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT. MIGHT BE ENTERING ONE OR TWO OF THEM, NOT DECIDED YET. THANKS :)

I used a Sigma 300mm f2.8 prime with a 2x APO Teleconverter. You could pay £4 and get on the flightline. I heard the engine start up and legged it over pushing my way to the front/spot I wanted. Pretty sure I p***ed some parents off though, nah mind :). Anything to get a good shot.

Keep in touch, I go to a few shows so we could meet up in the future.

King.

EDIT: The static display pictures were taken with a Nikkor AFS ED DX 18 - 70mm. First time I had used in the filed and the results are great. Fantastic way to spend £179!

fantastic shots there dude.

How did you manage to get them so sharp, at RIAT I failed miserably!

The flying shots were taken with a 300mm Prime. Hence the sharpness, not as sharp as some lenses as it is so heavy and shake is somewhat pronounced. If I had a monopod (which I nearlly bought) then they would have been sharper, the 2x APO converter reduced the quality somewhat as well.

The static display were taken with the AFS 18 - 70mm DX format lens. Absolutely fan diddily that lens.
