Finally, after visiting Sicily in Spring 2018, I've gotten round to sorting and editing my photos to share. My brother and I went for a week, visiting Catania, Aci Castello, Etna, Isola di Ortigia, Mazzaro, Isola Bella, Taormina, and Valle dei Templi. I think we were in Catania for 4 nights, and Taormina for 2 nights, which allowed us to cover quite a lot of the east and south east coast. I would like to go again, but to the west, north west area i.e. Palermo and surroundings. I am told it has less of a Greek influence, with African instead, which intrigues me.

In terms of photography, it certainly is a photogenic place, but other than the hilltop of Taormina, nowhere made me think "wow". They are nowhere my proudest photos either...bit high on quantity, not quality. I think after two trips to Iceland, it'll be hard to expect and meet the same results.

Annoyingly, I think on the second day, when we went to Valle Dei Templi (rather dry, dusty, sandy environment with a breeze), I must have let out some dust when I swapped lenses, which showed up as specs in a lot of pics, so took a lot of cleaning up in Lightroom. Thankfully, camera is all clean since my return, and lesson learnt about being more careful.
