All taken with my Canon EOS 300D (18-55mm kit lens) in full auto mode.
Comments & criticism welcome! :)

Haha, my personal favourite is number 4.

Any other comments? Anyone recommend a better lens for these events than the 18-55mm?

For this particular type of work you'd be better off looking into a telephoto lens.
You'd have to look at spending £300+ for sufficiently good step-up from the kit lens. Something like the Tamron 18-50 F2.8, Sigma 18-50 F2.8 or the more expensive Canon 17-40L or await the new Tokina 16-50 F2.8 which looks to be a very good lens.

No point in spending £300+ on a 50 mm lens for an airshow. Better of looking for a fast 70 - 300 or even a 300mm prime lens if you are going to take it seriously. Just how I would approach it anyway,...

Nice shots though.

EDIT

7 is the best. Has a nice subtle composition to it. Would look good in a frame stretched across a wall.
