Took my new FZ30 to the Pod this Monday, still learning how to use the camera, didnt have high speed focus set for ages so a lot of shots didnt come out, these we're the best, considering some cars we're getting upto 200mph where I was sitting, I think their not tooo bad :)

I was there on the sunday, thats where I got my new sig - see below!

I took a number of shots but none on the strip, only in the paddock. I might put a few up later. I found that at the bigger drag events I find it difficult to get the lens over the crowds.

Anyway, nice shots there. Are you into motorsport, particularly drag racing, a lot?

:)

Heh, I used to live about 4 miles or so from Santa Pod but I never went!

I could hear the engines though and if the wind was blowing in the right direction they sounded even better! :D

I right royal pain in the bum when it was VW Bug weekends though...the area was filled with flippin hippies and broken down bugs!! :D

I've always been interested in Motorsport, but the drag racing is new to me. Me and the missus go to the main events now. It's such fun and you can always see everything!

Nice Pics, I was there from Saturday thru till Monday :D (though spent most of Sat trying to get the car out of the mud in the camoing area :( )
Need to get my main PC up and running again (DIY stops play) as im using a slllllllow laptop, and I think Ive got a few good pics

Had real problems with the framing while I was at 3/4 track, but did much better down near the start line.....wish I had my ear defenders when the fuellers were launching though, ears only stopped ringing earlier!!

We were at the Easter Thunderball, and made the mistake of standing in the barn when a top fuel launched. First when it staged, we though, thats not too bad, but then it launched, OMG lol, deaf as **** afterwards lol.
