Thought I would have a play around with my new Sigma 70-300 APO while the moon was clear and full.

Moon

Quite happy with this for a first attempt at moon photography, even if it is 100% cropped. Will have to get the Bigma zoom lens for better shots.

quite pleased with the range of lighting in this one.

Couldn't get the focus any better for this one any tips on focusing as it looks good through the viewfinder but came out like this.

Sorry Big red, you mean you take a shot, check to see if it's in focus and then adjust as necessary? I used to do that with my old olympus C-5000 but I find that the screen on the D50 doesn't give that clear an image, at least not for that sort of thing.
