I'm looking to get a sim free iphone 4 (my x10 mini pro is playing up and I'm getting bored with Android, had a G1 previously). I was going to wait for the new iphone but God knows when that will be available, anyway it kind of makes sense to get one now anyway.

I am on a t-mobile contract which runs out around October next year. So if I buy a new iphone now, after a year I'm hoping it will still be worth something, so I can sell it then get some sort of upgrade, or even leave t-mobile as they're a bit rubbish.

Now my first question is (I'm at work but will ring them later), do you think t-mobile will be willing to send me out an iphone 4 sim for use with my current contract? I would have thought they would but have no experience in this.

Do apple store do finance options? If so, what sort of APR can I expect to pay? I was looking at second hand phones but to be honest I'd rather pay a little more and get it new with a years warranty.

Is there anywhere other than apple store I should look at to buy a sim free iphone?

Where is the cheapest place to insure an Iphone

Edit - Sorry, this should be in Apple Hardware.

Thanks guys.

It hasn't been confirmed, pure speculation and rumour. It is likely that we'll see a minor update before the end of the year I reckon though. If you need/want now go for it, ip4 is a great phone.

Apple store is still the cheapest place to get a sim-free iPhone4 as far as I've seen. Lots of online retailers are charging silly money for them.

Cheapest insurance? Got mine via Natwest Advantage Gold bank account - its cheaper than mobile insurance and you get a lot more. Worth looking at MSE forums though.

Ebay is by far the cheapest place by miles
