A few MacBook questions...

I know the MB is running towards the end of a cycle, but what updates are expected for them if and when Apple do so? Are people seriously expecting a move to the newer Intel processors, or do people think they'll be a year so of (especially if they didn't update the 13" MBP)

My other questions are all about on what I want the thing for, because bar playing around with them in the Apple store, I've never used them for photo editing and such. So basically, how would the 13" MB cope with running Photoshop CS3/4? I'm not much of an editer with my photo's, mainly because I'm more a film user than digital, but I'd still need to touch the odd digital shot up and then re-size film scans on the MB.

In regards to the screen, I hear it's not the best for editing, but after looking in the Apple store I thought they looked decent, at least for what I'd need it for.

Another questions a wild one but I'll ask anyway - I'll be visiting New York in July and after looking at a few stores in America online I've realised buying over there would be cheaper than here (for example, one reputable store offer the most basic MB for $799) and that's taking my higher education discount into account. Obviously, the keyboard would be slightly different, but bar that what else would be different? I had a thought about the WiFi being dodgy over here, but I don't have a enough knowledge - or time - to find out if I could be right.

Danke.

I have the previous generation macbook and it's fine running photoshop CS4. As for wifi it's the same tech used universally so it wont be a problem :)

If you're going to New York then there's probably a Dixons in the airport that'll sell you a Macbook VAT free. You can even phone up in advance and get them to order it for you. That way you'll get a UK keyboard, power supply and not have to smuggle your purchase through customs.

Your HE discount is probably more than 17.5% though. :)
