Thanks for the noob guide at the top of the page.

Installed F@H last night and pc is currently grinding away at it's first WU at home.

Installed on both cores etc and did the regedit etc.

Couple of quick questions

1. if i decide to play a game like BF2 or PES etc should the f@h program automatically stop? or do i manaully have to stop the service?

2. after installing the client etc - i restarted my machine but nothing happened re the f@h - i had to manually start the programs on both cores. IS that the case? should it not start automatically when i boot into XP and not be doing anything?

3. The Stats monitor that i installed for f@h was the basic one (first one in the instructions - 2nd one mentioned appears to have a dead link) anyway - it shows the progression of the WU etc but nothing about the size or point value of it? Any ideas

Sorry for the questions but any answer would be great.

1. The client will automatically "back off" to allow you to play your game - you won't need to switch it off.

2. Did you install as a service during setup? If not, run the clients with the -configonly switch to change the optons and select yes when asked if you want to install as a service.

3. Click on FahMon at the top and click "Download new projects" in the drop down list.

1. It will not stop BUT it will not slow down your computer... I mean that it will not be a priority for the system and so will let everything else, even battlefield be a system priority.... thus not slowing your computer down..

2. It should start automatically if you following the sticky right on this forum... you might want to delete the .cfg files and try again mate... read the sticky though, its really important... which client are you running? SMP or normal?

3. No idea never really use the monitor so I will leave this up to someone else

ok thanks for that - will check it all later when i get home!

First WU was showing as 8 hours to go this morning on one core and 1day 14 hours on the 2nd core!!!

Pretty sure i folded the guide to the letter and installed as a service - will double check later.

Cheers
