Heres a few of my efforts from the Flying Legends on Sunday, All shots were taken with a Canon 350D and a Sigma 70-300 APO zoom. Do tell me what you think...

Any chance you could post some slightly smaller images? 800x600 is generally enough for sharing pics.

Looks like a fun day with lots of vintage aircraft. Some shots seem a little overexposed though?

The words Big, Soft and Overexposed jump to mind I'm afraid, though looking past the technicalities you have managed to capture some nice moments and framed them pretty nicely. Some simple photoshop balancing would improve them immeasurably.

The pictures are great but some of them could do with cropping to bring out the best in them.

For example, many of the planes are surrounded by lots of blank sky, making the plane seem small, far away and uninteresting.

Crop the plan and bring it back to size with a smaller ammount of sky round them, will show the detail and focus the photo more!

Gaaah - I hate that 'Spitfire' - No spitfire had contra-rotating props!

All he's done is get an Griffon engine on the cheap from a Shackleton and left the contra rotating props on it - instead of converting it to single prop like the BMF did.

All to save himself a little bit of wedge. *and considering Spit's can sell for £1million it is just a little bit*

As for the shots - they are overexposed - but they do look better with a bit more processing.

oh...and it's not a BF-109 either.. ;)

It's a HA-1109 thats been painted to look like a BF-109. It's a BF-109 made under license by Spain by Hispano and instead of the Daimler-Benz 601 engine it's got a a Rolls Royce Merlin in there.

*goes off to geek in another corner*
