I decided to take a walk this morning and took my trusty Canon A610 along with me. I just took a few snaps of things i thought looked interesting, what do you think?.
Cheers, ye it was fairly cold last night but the sun was shining when i went out and it felt quite warm. The frost is just the normal white layer you get on grass but i had the lens about 2cm away from it, it seems to have a good macro for a compact camera. I thought i had a good shot of the sun behind some trees casting long shadows but the sun has a big purple glow to one side that ruins it , i hope its a nice day tomorrow so i can take the tripod and try and re take it.
A quick question, how do you stop the sun glare?, i took a pic of the sun peering through some trees and its ruined by a red/pink glare off the sun. Is there a filter i could use or is it just the angle i took it at?. Im pretty pleased with my first attempt, before this ive just taken pics of my pc etc. I might even get an DSLR in the summer .
Thanks for the comments, ill take them on board , Im just limited as to what i can do with this camera regarding dof etc. Ill have to get a DSLR at some point, i just wanted to get a cheaper camera first to see if photography was for me and i think it is . Is it the F numbers that change the DOF?, mine only goes from F2.8 - F8 and i think i used f8 and macro mode for them shots.
