Hi guys, a few Qs:
1) i am upgrading from an opteron 146 to a 170, my chipset temps are 32 (according to MSI
) with a zalman passive and an 80mm blowing on it at 5v. would i see a huge increase in temps if i start overclocking the 170? my 146 is at 2.7ghz. would i need to put it under water?
2) both chips have their IHS on, would i see a decent decrease in temps from using a swiftech apogee block instead of my MCW-6002 swiftech high flow block?
3) would it be ok if i chose to watercool my chipset, then split my output from my radiator so 1/2 went to the gfx and chipset and 1/2 went to the cpu then joined them back up at the pump? would this see an increase or decrease in temps? i have a Laing DC pump.

the IHS ruins most of the good blocks - they like direct to die contact.
