Hello I've found this laptop with following specs:

* Processor: AMD Turion 64 X2 TL52 - 1.6GHz
* RAM: 2GB DDR2-533MHz
* Hard Drive: 160GB
* Screen: 17" Widescreen CrystalBrite TFT (1440x900 - 16:10)
* Optical Drive: DVD±RW Super Multi Double Layer
* Graphics: NVidia GeForce Go7300 256MB
* Wireless LAN: 802.11b/g - Call for advice on Wireless Networking
* Weight: 3.7kg
* Warranty: 1 Year Collect and Return
* Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium
* Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000
* 56k Dial-Up Modem
* S-Video Output
* PCMCIA Type II Slot
* Built-In 0.3 MegaPixel Camera
* 5-in-1 Flash Memory Card Reader
* Built-In Stereo Speakers

For £650

1- Do you think it is a fair price?
2- Is AMD Turion like Intel Celeron (i.e. less powerful than normal versions) or like Intel Centrino (laptop technology)?
3- What is GeForce Go? Is it the laptop version of normal GeForce?

Cheers

1) I'll be honest, the processor is not very good, and it does seem a bit too heavy. However, for the price, you are getting a nice big screen, good graphics card and good ram.

2) AMD Turion X2 is like intel core duo. Not C2D. However, as far as i know Core duo has a better battery life system.

3) Yeah it is. The card is actually really good for the price and so you should be able to play the latest games on reasonable settings. However, i think the processor will limit you.

Hmmmm...the problem is that if I want to get a 2GHz processor the price would be around £100 higher than the original (£750) which I won't be able to afford. I don't want the computer for playing high-end games, just WoW, Guild Wars, WH40K:DoW, Medieval Total War II and hopefully the upcoming MMO Warhammer Online will do the job :)

Also the problem with laptops is that you can't really get what you want, especially if you want it for a cheap price, unlike self-setup desktops.

Thanks for the reply.
