1. I was looking at the 8GB version and see a differnec in price , I have noticed Generation 1 and Generation 2 , generation 2 being dearer, whats the difference ?

2.Can I use Media Player to load music onto it or will I have to use I tunes ?

3.Can i load any of our current CD's onto them or will i have to use I tunes ?

Thx

I've got the generation 1 ipod touch. Fantastic gadget, definitely the ipod to go for.

1) The 2nd gen is thinner and has a built in speaker, heard that it has slightly better sound quality and faster internet access (not much in it)

2) It's only itunes you can use, you can search for music aready on your computer and load it into itunes. The software isn't that bad, but get's annoying when you sync more than one ipod to the same PC.

3) itunes again, you just copy the music off your cd onto itunes.

I'd personally try and get a generation 1, save your money, very little differences in my opinion.

Have the 32GB Touch myself.
1) It's thinner, built-in speaker, better wifi, just seems like the one to go for afaik.
2)Yup, iTunes.
3) iTunes.

iTunes works a treat on a mac, if you don't use mac then there are iTunes alternatives available which do the same thing.
