A few questions about the macbook pro :)

It does come with built in wireless, the enabler for "N" comes on a cd with the airport base station. If you wanted to use "N" without the Apple base station you might have to pay to upgrade, but that might change.
802.11n comes enabled on new systems. :)

Hmmm

As I just got my Macbook would it be N enabled then how do i check? As I hae been thinking of getting a new router.. so i can use this down the garden in summer :D

From the product page for the enabler:

"Do you need the AirPort Extreme 802.11n Enabler?

Before purchasing the Enabler software, please check to make sure that your Mac does not already have the 802.11n enabler already installed.
  • Open Network Utility (found in the Applications > Utilities folder)
  • Under the Info Tab, choose Network Interface (en1)
  • In the section 'Model: Wireless Network Adapter," if it says (802.11a/b/g/n), you already have the 802.11n enabler installed. If it says (802.11a/b/g), you do not have the 802.11n enabler installed."

Bummer I dont have it on. So look like i need to get it done wonder how much that be as i want to get a netgear router with broadband modem built in

Just updated this last night and using it with my netgear dg834n (draft n) wireless router. Is there any way i can test what speed of connection I actually am getting?
