I have been meaning to 'upgrade' for a while now but it's probably more for e-peen reasons as the 5+ year system still handles what I throw at it. However I am in need of an aesthetic/storage upgrade and just a general tinker, as it's been ages since I took one apart. My current rig is probably covered in dust now with minimal effort put into its cooling config. I would also like something a little quieter than I currently have.
Completely out of the loop with hard drives but is the below a good choice? It just needs to act as a normal storage drive along side my 2 SSDs.
With the AIO - should I leave the included the fans? I am a sucker for the Corsair ML fans which are meant to be good for both air flow and static pressure. This will be my first venture into water cooling, it comes with a 6 year warranty which sounds quite good? For closed loops - what kind of maintenance do they require?
My final item are some Thermaltake (I have a 1275w - left over from my mining days) PSU extension cables which should help with the overall look. Just need to decide on a colour scheme
. This will be for a 3570K/16GB/290 build but I will eventually jump on to the X99 platform.
