I've been with VM for a few months now, and am pretty impressed with the service so far. I have Broadband XL, Phone L, and TV M for £43.45/month. But there are a couple of things bugging me, and I thought someone on here might be able to assist.

First and foremost...I notice that the going rate for XL broadband is now £20/month after the first 3 months. This is a fair bit cheaper than the £37 I am paying at the moment...and even after the bundle discount I'm still paying £29. Is there anything stopping me asking VM to put me on the lower rate...or is this not possible? As far as I can see, £20/month is the new flat rate and is not part of an ongoing promotion.

Second question is...I'll be upgrading to V+ sometime soon and so will have a spare V-Box lying around. I know VM charge a hefty sum for the service of laying extra cable, so is there anything wrong with me just obtaining the cable and doing it myself?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Just quickly...has anyone else on the free TV M package noticed that National Geo and Cartoon Network are now available?

Blurb...

Broadband Size: XL and Phone Size: M bundle: Broadband Size: XL (up to 20Mb) is £10 a month and Phone Size: M is £11 a month for the first 3 months, which is £21 a month. After 3 months, the special offer bundle price applies, which is Broadband Size: XL (up to 20Mb) for £20 a month and Phone Size: M for £11 a month, which is £31 a month. Offer ends 30th June 2008.

So standalone XL BB is still probably £37 or whatever. If you get a phoneline as well, the bundle price is reduced.
