any help is greatly appreciated, and many thanks in advance for the replies.

im thinking of getting a new system, i have around £700 to spend.

what is better dual core or quad core?

what graphics card would you recomend?

is it better to buy one high spec graphics card or to buy two cards with a little bit lower spec's but when combined with another has higher spec than the one card? (sorry if that confused you i think i just confused myself lol)

what ram would you recomend?

what motherboard is best for the components above?

which power supply will power all of this?

also which heatsink would you recomend? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-049-CT&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat= im getting this case, i had a friend who bought a heatsink and his sidepanel to the case would not fit on bc the heatsink was to big.

if you could please spec me all of this up i would greatly appreciate it, i am hoping to go overclockers on sunday to purchase so could you please provide a link.
once again many thanks in advance for replies.

Right, Quad Core is better.

I'd say one card may be better.

Depends what you choose for Processor.

I am unable to help answer your quesions, but you will need to give more information before anyone can answer..
What do you want to do with the pc is the first biggie - that may help the clever folks here to answer your questions in some way !
I don't play games - mainly photo editing and music, so have a 2 core CPU with 4gb of RAM and a 650W PSU. As I like silence, I have a decent heatsink, but unless you plan to overclock your pc, you may not need one. Is noise important, or are you after the fastest pc possible, and damn the noise.
My graphics card is so basic (cost 30 odd pounds) but does all I need.
Why have you chosen the case you link to ? Is it the looks, and if so, have you thought about where it will live, will the noise and lights keep you awake at night if you leave it on ??
Many things to think about before you can start to choose what to buy, so take your time and good luck !

its for gaming, but the only game i play is tf2 untill diablo3 comes out, so im looking for a gaming computer really, all it will be used for is gaming, i browse on my laptop.

noise is no bother it wont be left on overnight and when it is on i have headphones on, i chose the case bc i think it looks good for the price i dont want to spend a lot on a case really.

thanks for the replies
