A few questions

I am going to get a mac,at the moment its either a
imac (20 inch) or mac mini,i do allready have a 19 tft.
Questions are
Is the imac noisey?
Reckon the mac mini will be as good as the basic imace with the ram maxed out?

I mainly use the net,itunes and messegner and burn the odd dvd.

When I've got my iMac on, it's unnoticeable!

Only if you put your ear right close to the back of it you can hear it. When you turn it on, the fans boot up, but within around 5 seconds they go back down again and it's lovely

The Mac Mini sounds like it fits your needs, but if you want extra power and don't mind spending extra go for a iMac.

The Mac Mini wont be as powerful maxed out as the iMac though.

iMacs are silent, you wont be able to hear it.

Higher Education discount you should get.

Think it's 10%, although it may be slightly higher.

HE discount is 14%.

The iMac is silent (as everyone has said), and will be faster than a top-spec Mac Mini, no questions.

You can use the display you have to run an extended desktop.. food for thought :cool:

Yeah phone up, you can only access the site if you are on a uni campus.
