I am looking for a monthly contract and therefore I'm about to leave Virgin Mobile and I've requested a PAC code enabling me to keep my number.

On the 3 website there is an amazing offer which gives you Unlimited Texts, 750mins + a free Sony Ericsson C902 for £25 a month. However this is normally £35 a month and the offer runs out on the 30th September.

I'm just wondering if I am able to purchase the offer now and still keep my number afterwards by exchanging the SIM or if they will not allow this.

Also, I'm just wondering, are there any well known drawbacks to 3, as the above offer seems to good to be true to be honest. I've talked to a friend who is on the network and she says they are fine - and the previous drawback about bad reception is much improved.

Thoughts?

Yes, you can take up the offer now and then change your number when your PAC comes through - I did exactly that last year.

I've been with three for over a year now and found them fine. Customer service has been really good - I've never been on hold for longer than a minute. Signal problems have been rare for me, although I do know other people who are on three and have had problems.
