Hi guys, I'm currently building a new system slowly as I can't afford to just go and buy it all at once. I've currently got the motherboard and processor(Ryzen 5 1600 and Gigabyte Gaming 5), plus I will throw my current GPU in there too(RX480) but I'm really struggling to complete my build as funds are not exactly there to throw away, and I'm not exactly up-to-date with the latest tech.

My first question is this: Would 8GB of memory be sufficient for a gaming system and if so, do you recommend any specifically? I don't want to completely skimp out but I don't want to over spend either. Anything under £140 would be preferred.

Second question: I'm absolutely useless at PSU's, so I'm just wondering if this would suffice for a gaming rig?

I don't intend to run dual GPU's or overclock anything.

Third question: SSD's - I've never had one, so know nothing about them - I would like a 500GB one if it's cheap enough, but I can settle for a 250GB for the time being and add more at a later date.

For those wondering about a potential budget, I don't have one. It's more of what I can spend at the time so I understand if this gets a little difficult.

Thanks in advance, the help is much appreciated.

1. yes you can suffice with 8gb for moment and add extra at later date here is an 8gb example under budget https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...nel-kit-black-grey-tdpgd48g320-my-074-tg.html
2.here is a psu that will work fine https://www.overclockers.co.uk/evga-600w-80-plus-power-supply-100-w1-0600-k3-ca-025-ea.html as for the corsair the power looks fine and i'm sure someone else will say yeah all good
3. ssd is well worth the money, boots up faster here is a 500gb example https://www.overclockers.co.uk/sams...olid-state-drive-mz-75e500b-eu-hd-192-sa.html the 250gb is £89.99 off the same one

going to echo what @marco.da.man said.
also, getting an ssd is the single best thing you can do for quality-of-life/system responsiveness. once you have one in your computer, you'd wonder why you never got it sooner :)
