Hi everyone,
I'm building a machine for my illustration work (I'm permanently locked to photoshop), and though everything else is sorted I'm still torn between 2 processors, the i5-2300 and the 2500k.
The rest of my build:
Mobo: Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H Intel Z68
RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperX Genesis
HDD: Samsung F3 1tb
DVD±RW: Sony Optiarc
PSU: OCZ ZS Series 550
Case: Fractal Design Core 1000
Possibly a Corsair 64G SSD, we'll see...
I'm not really into gaming (or overclocking, sorry!) and will be using the integrated graphics for the time being, possibly upgrading to a 550ti at some point. The machine will be used for photoshop, plus just bog standard browsing/downloading/music/movie watching.
Basically I'm wondering if a 2500k offers any real benefits over the 2300 for my purposes? I know it's only about £20 between them, but that's £20 towards something else
Also, am I alright sticking with the stock cooler, or should I upgrade?
