a few TES 4 questions

hi

I borowed the game froma friend just to look if it was worth buying, now that i am totally addicted i dont want to giive it back ( j/k ).
Now hes at school ( stays there overnight ) but he still has the manual etc.
So em...here goes...Where can you buy lockpicks ( looks like that christan guys from the thievesguild doesnt sell em no more) as i need em to unlock the door to the dark brotherhood's base. And how do you use em propperly? i break way too much ( lvl 8 with 79 agility ) I thought i was just push up the pins and click right?
Another one. I am stuck at the main quest to find the amulet...i have those 4 books, but it seems my english is lacking because i cant find the clues where to go now. ( or i am just plain stupid )

For lockpicks, turn right out of the west gate of the Imperial City and hug the wall. Eventually you'll come across Shady Sam who sells them 30 at a time.

Second question - read the illuminated letters in the books.

Oh, and there's already a TES4 thread, stick to that one!

Also if you go to talk to the argonian in the library Arcane university then she will tell what the clue is that the book is trying to give you.
