cheers half life 2 stands out for me never played that game would that work on my spec using vista64 bit?

cheers

thanks

if i downloaded it from steam is it then possible to burn it onto cd so that i can install it on my gaming pc (which has not got the internet) ?

cheers :)

HL2 is no test for a socket a system let alone a recently built one. Having the best engine it runs on anything well.
Try Company of Heroes that'll at least push it a bit.

i think you need to be online at some point to verify things :(

imo its worth downloading the high res texture packs for HL 2 too , makes it look even better.

perhaps i will buy it in the highstreet then would it still work on vista getting from the highstreet?

cheers

Vista isnt the problem its the net connection, yu still need a connection to steam even with a high street dvd

hi

ive got you now so half life is out of the question as my pc has no internet :(

That's about the sum of it. Unless you can connect your machine to the net once to verify the install, download the updates, and set offline mode.

so before i get the adapter is there any other games that would work ,because at the moment i feel like ive chucked £800 quid down the drain :(

cheers
