A Game Just Got Me Back Into Gaming

For around a year or so (Since Resident Evil 4 anyway) I have been completely out of love with gaming, online or otherwise. It just hasn't appealed to me and has seemed incredibly boring. I booted up counterstrike and halflife a few times, but quit within 5 mins to find something more interesting to do.

However, despite buying it about a month ago I finally slid Metroid Prime 2 into my gamecube. Just wow. The whole thing just feels so totally fresh. Its like shoving zelda and halflife into a blender and tasting the results. And they taste good. Despite me disliking how 'open ended' and 'where the hell am I supposed to go' feeling the game started with, I am completely hooked right now and I imagine I will finish it sometime soon. Well worth picking up a GC just for it.

Has anything like that happened to you recently or have any games greatly exceeded your expectations?

Most games on the DS Lite tbh, several of the 360 games.

Table Tennis was one pure satisfying experience for me, nothing but paddle.

To be honest, ever since I bought a DS Lite about three weeks ago, I've had that feeling. I think it's a great little machine, with some innvative games, coupled with the Wifi and I'm loving it at the moment.

I've got Trauma Center and Pheonix Wright arriving tomorrow and can't wait to get stuck into them. Add in the fact I can play GBA games on it, which is something I've never owned and I'm enjoying lots of games I've never played before.

Ah Metroid what a great game, unfortunatley it's that open endness coupled with time constraints that will prevent me from ever finishing it
