A gaming build for £900

Hi there, I recently upgraded my PC quite successfully, so much so a friend has decided he now has to have one, which is great for me as we hadn't gamed together on PC for getting on towards a decade!

So he's put together a £900 budget. He only needs Case, Motherboard, CPU, cooling, PSU, Memory and GPU.

Now, he's pretty set that he wants two things:
1) Case: Corsair Carbide 540
2) Cooling: Corsair H105

The latter I have, and he likes how it looks. He's also set on a cube case (he currently has a MountainMods UFO and he is thinking about selling it and going for this Corsair. He's obviously set on cubes!

These parts are part of the £900 budget. So they should be included.

The rest would be great for some advice. Thank you.

It's not entirely set on being an Intel build, my friend was looking at the AMD FX-9370 too. Is that worth looking at in comparison?

Spending more on the case than the mobo, for performance I would grab a g1 sniper for an exta £19.
